Meet The Team

James has led a long and distinguished career as an estate agent in Oxford. He brings 20 years of estate agency experience to Penny & Sinclair, having founded the firm with Wendy Sinclair in May 2009. James oversees the firm’s operations and ensures that exceptional customer service remains the hallmark of its reputation.

Wendy is a co-founder of Penny & Sinclair and established its increasingly busy lettings department, which currently manages more than 280 properties. Wendy has an entrepreneurial background having run her own highly successful business based in France for over 25 years. She is multi lingual offering a unique service to many overseas clients and has an in-depth knowledge of the UK lettings market specialising in all areas, including holiday and short lets. 

With over 20 years estate agency experience in Oxford, Oliver has an unparalleled understanding of the Oxford market. Having held a senior position within another local practice, Oliver now heads up Penny & Sinclair’s City office. Oliver has built a strong reputation in the Oxford residential market for his educated, realistic and accurate advice.

Lucy is a highly experienced lettings manager and has many years lettings experience in both residential and corporate lettings. She is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and brings with her seven years’ lettings agency experience.  She adopts a friendly, practical and flexible approach in her dealings with clients.

Jeremy has 15 years’ estate agency experience in Oxfordshire, in both sales and lettings. His enthusiastic, pragmatic approach permeates the team and resonates strongly with clients. He is a Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (MNAEA) and of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Stephen joined Penny & Sinclair in 2012 and brings with him over twenty years property experience. James and Oliver have known Stephen since the early 1990's. Stephen heads the property management department and has an in depth knowledge of buildings, construction and maintenance.

Rob grew up in Devon before joining the RAF. He spent the majority of his 12 years service down the road at Brize Norton. He spent the next 17 years locally, both with a Corporate and an Independent Agent before joining us. Rob’s time in the military was well spent in developing a well-structured and organised person with the ability to foresee problems and deal with them effectively.

Rob joined Penny & Sinclair in February 2013 and has already proved an invaluable addition to the busy property management department. A graduate from Oxford Brookes, he has a  B.A. (Hons) in city and regional planning and has been involved in coaching the Corpus Christi womens rowing team in his spare time. He works alongside Stephen Ingram and can be contacted for any property maintenance related issues.

Lizanne has a strong understanding of the Oxford property market and has helped to develop Penny & Sinclair’s reputation for excellent customer service, by consistently going to great lengths for her clients and recognising the value of properties as homes,  as well as financial assets.

Sammie gained a degree in Real Estate at Bristol University before beginning a career in the lettings property market. She has worked with Penny & Sinclair since its inception and notably worked with James and Wendy for many years prior. She manages the day-to-day relationship with tenants and landlords, dealing with all current legislations, tenancy agreements and deals with enquiries and short let reservations. 

Christine has worked in estate agency for 16 years, with both corporate and independent firms. She has been with Penny & Sinclair from the start and works in the Summertown office. She values friendly and efficient communications with clients and applicants alike, and ensures that she and the team maintains high standards of customer service.

Victoria joined Penny & Sinclair in 2011 with eight years’ lettings experience in Oxford and substantial knowledge of landlords’ priorities and obligations. She ensures that landlords understand and adhere to all current legislation before and during a tenancy, providing peace of mind to both landlord and tenant. 

Julia strives to ensure that house sales proceed as efficiently as possible with minimum disruption. She consistently obtains the best possible price for the vendor while finding the right property for the buyer. She focuses on making the selling and buying process as straight forward and stress free as possible.

Sue deals with all aspects of accounts and financial management for the company and has many years of experience with the complexities of letting properties. She is based at the Summertown office, where she can be contacted for any advice.

Angie joined the company at the start of 2012 and brought with her a wealth of experience, gained through a rich background in entrepreneurial ventures. Her passion and commitment enhances Penny & Sinclair’s exceptional customer service.

Helen has recently joined Penny & Sinclair’s established Lettings division and is based in the Summertown office.  A Durham University graduate, Helen helps with the day to day duties of viewings and administration.

Marie joined Penny & Sinclair’s city office in July 2012 and has quickly progressed to the role of Sales Negotiator supporting both the sales and lettings departments.  Marie carries out a client facing role including viewing appointments, dealing with client enquiries and some office administration.

Amanda has seven years industry experience and has been a close associate of James and Wendy for many years, working with them at their previous firm then joining to help launch Penny & Sinclair. 

Jayne has six years industry experience having started her career with James and Wendy at their previous firm and moving with them to work together at Penny & Sinclair.

Nevada has many years experience in the Oxfordshire lettings market.  She has worked with James and Wendy for many years and has become highly qualified to give advice as regards the local HMO requirements and legislation. 

Jenny joined Penny & Sinclair in 2012 and brings a wealth of marketing and sales experience with her. She is based in firms City branch and offers help and advice to buyers and sellers alike. 

Georgie is based at the Summertown office, helping with the day to day duties of viewings, lettings negotiation and administration.  Georgie joined the firm from its inception and is a valuable member of the team.
